The Track Day System is Corby Motorsport’s own specification of
coilover suspension built in collaboration with GAZ Shocks Ltd. Biased towards unparalleled performance on the track but retaining drivability
on the road and specifically designed
for Vauxhall’s Nova and Corsa models.
Our competition offer a coilover front
with separate damper and spring rear setups on these models. Our Track Day System however,
includes four full coilover units and a pair of camber and castor adjustable front top
mounts so you can dial in geometry settings to suit each track you visit.
The Track Day System also differs from other
kits as the damping and spring rates are uniquely designed correctly for each
application taking the guesswork out of specifying your own rates and valving.
Each application has been thoroughly tested using our own cars to achieve the
optimum specification for maximum grip and handling.
Systems Available
Four easy to choose systems are available as below. Please specify product code and your vehicle model upon ordering.
TDS310A - Standard engine sizes using road tyres
TDS310B - Standard engine sizes using track day tyres (Toyo Proxes / 888s etc)
TDS310C - 2.0 (including turbo charged) engines using road tyres
TDS310D - 2.0 (including turbo charged) engines track day tyres (Toyo Proxes / 888s etc)
Different spring rates and damper valving are used in each specification matched perfectly to each application.
Height and Damping Adjustable
The Track day System uses dampers with shortened bodies which enable the system to drop you car by 40-120mm for the ultimate low centre of gravity. Shortened bodies enable the damper to still work correctly and to specification with the car set at up to full drop.
The dampers are 42-way adjustable, a single rotary click control knob is employed that adjusts both compression and rebound simultaneously to give you superb stiffness control.
The dampers have a coarse acme form thread for ease of height adjustment and to minimise corrosion, the dampers are black anodised, spring retainers are anodised blue and the top mount is alloy with a corrosion resistant coating.
Camber and Castor Adjustable Top Mounts
The top mounts fitted to the Track Day System give a precise suspension body location and reduce the flex inherent in OE rubber bushes. They use a Goldman precision 20mm race bearing with a 22000lb loading rate. The mount itself is a lightweight design made from billet HE30 aluminium and has full camber and castor adjustment so your are able to achieve your perfect setup.
Build Time, Fitting and Warranty
The Track Day System is covered by a 2 year warranty and comes complete with all fittings and bushes and uses your car's original suspension points meaning installation is a simple bolt in job.
