Camber Adjustable Suspension Parts from Eibach
- Adjusts Front Camber by +/- 2.0 degrees
Camber (generally expressed in degrees away from the vertical) refers to how the wheel leans in its vertical axis front side to side within the car. If the top of the wheel leans in towards the car compared to the bottom of the wheel, this is negative camber. If it leans away from the car, this is positive camber.
These days it is very rare to have positive camber on any wheel but there are a number of reasons why you may want to reduce or increase negative camber at the front or rear of a car such as to reduce tyre wear on a car that has been lowered where the effect of lowering the car has added excess negative camber.
Or us petrol heads though, increasing or decreasing camber affects the grip on a pair of wheels to alter handling characteristics so we can change an understeering car to a neutral or oversteering car for faster corning and quicker laps times!
